I have been designing and making jewellery for almost 20 years. I am fortunate to have a constant supply of beads and stones to work with at all times because I own one of Australia’s best-known bead shops with my husband Marius.

Margaret River Beads – located in the heart of South Western Australia’s wine region is a unique bead emporium and jewellery gallery where we have a permanent stock range of 7,000 beads and findings from all over the world.

I get to work with some exceptional components in a wide range of textures and colours, including unusual beads and stones from the tribal regions of Afghanistan and Nepal, exotic beads from Europe, India and Indonesia, stunning hand-made beads from Africa and among a multitude of other 200-year old trade beads from Venice.

All my pieces are unique – one-of-a-kind and incorporate influences from my native Indian Canadian roots and from the many people I have met through our shops and my travels. And that means working with stunning semi-precious stones such as Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Turquoise, Amethyst – and natural pieces including coral, pearl shell, bone, wood and metal.
